Official Languages
The legal basis for the Federal Official Languages Program is unique to Canada. No other country has a mix of constitutional principles, statutes and policies which embody, protect and promote the English and French languages and cultures.
Our commitment and our responsibility…
Over the past 20 years, the number of bilingual Canadians has doubled. For a growing number of Canadians, bilingualism has become not only a personal asset but also an important part of their sense of national identity. Proud and conscious of this diversity and eager to improve the equity and quality of our services, Non Public Funds (NPF) operates in both official languages. NPF's commitment to serving members of the public and the Canadian Forces Community in the official language of their choice includes incorporating bilingualism in its long-term corporate plan.
